    The Tense Multi-Canopy System by New Works is a modular ceiling fixture designed to support three or five Tense pendant shades in a sculptural cluster or linear configuration. This product includes the multi-port canopy and light drivers — shades are selected separately for full design flexibility.

    Each Tense shade, designed by Panter & Tourron for New Works, is crafted from Tyvek — a paper-like, 100% recyclable material held in tension by carbon rods. The integrated LED offers balanced, dimmable light directed both upward and downward.

    Wrinkles in the Tyvek are natural and part of the aesthetic. Over time, they soften with gravity and tension.

    Installation Notes

    Due to lightweight material, Tense pendants may sway in response to airflow — this movement is part of the intended design. Shades attach magnetically and may detach with strong movement. Install in a space free of excessive air circulation. Indoor use only.
